Interim Ministers of the UCE

The following individuals have also played an important part in our history by assuming the role of interim minister when our congregation was in transition...

1934 - 1936

Rev. Carl Storm

From a UUA obituary when Storm died in 1996 at age 85:

“Rev. Carl A. N. Storm was ordained in 1940 at the Unitarian Church in Exeter, New Hampshire. He served congregations in Edmonton, Alberta; Exeter, N.H.; Lincoln, Nebraska; Minneapolis; Schenectady, New York; and Lynchburg, Virginia. He retired in 1977.”

1984 - 1985

Rev. Michael O'Kelly

Rev. O’Kelly studied for the ministry at the University of Chicago and served UU churches in numerous American cities, besides his brief stay in Edmonton. He now lives in Clarksburg, West Virginia. “I have fond memories of Edmonton,” he says.

1995 - 1997

Rev. Fern Stanley

Born in Kentucky in 1935, Rev. Stanley was ordained in 1986 and served as interim minister in eight other cities besides Edmonton. She died in 2003.
