Supporting the Journey

Resilience 2023

Donor Letter

Donor Letter.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your financial support in 2022. Thank you for helping keep our church and our community resilient. Thank you for being a donor to our church!

Our church needs to have the resilience to tackle the challenges that will face us in the future. One of the ways we have prepared for this is to create a covenant of right relations, "With love as our guide, we pledge to create a beloved community of peace and compassion." The covenant provides points that, when followed will help us avoid conflict, and points to help us deal with conflict if it occurs. Our covenant is a way to help us maintain resilient interpersonal relations.

But my task during canvass is to make sure our church is financially resilient. To be financially resilient we need the ongoing support of generous donors like you to continue to give to the church. The good news is that our donations have been fairly steady for the past 10 years. Thank you for that, but please consider increasing your pledge so that our church can be more financially resilient.

Each year, we take time in March to talk about our donations to our church. I ask that all of our donors to return a pledge form so that I can prepare an estimate of our donations for our annual budget. To do that I need to have everyone's pledge returned by the end of March. So thank you once again for your support in 2022 and I hope I can count on you again in 2023.

But the most important thing right now is to say thank you. Thank you for your donation. Thank you for your participation. Thank you for supporting the Unitarian Church of Edmonton.

Thank you for making sure that our church is resilient!
