There is a long hiatus following Rev. Storm's departure in 1936 and the subsequent dissolution of the First Unitarian Society. In the early 1950s work begins on re-establishing the church. In 1953, Rev. Charles Eddis takes the helm and begins to promote the UCE through his short yet challenging and inspiring summaries of upcoming sermons in the Edmonton Journal. One of these ads is provocative enough to generate response from St. Stephen's College which publishes a response in its weekly bulletin.

Rev. Robert J. Wrigley becomes the UCE's minister in 1965, leaving in 1970...
