“It’s More Than Just Voting” — Social Justice Working Group Guest Speaker: Sarah Eadie
We assume that Canada meets the essential requirements of a modern democracy – a guarantee of basic human rights, freedom of opinion, governance within the rule of law, and equal voting rights. But does it? Sarah Eadie will be our guest for this service. She is a staff lawyer at the Edmonton Community Legal Centre, where she is part of a team of lawyers who practice poverty law in the area of civil litigation. Sarah has a strong interest in poverty law, particularly in the areas of access to justice and human rights. She will also join us for discussion, hosted by the Social Justice Working Group, following the service.
