Adult Programs

A Small Group Ministry Workshop was organized to train members of UCE and the Westwood Unitarian Congregation how to facilitate small groups.
The Small Group Ministry Workshop taught lay members how to facilitate small groups.

Introduction to Unitarianism courses are offered from time to time to acquaint newcomers with our history and beliefs. Discussion and special interest groups are formed in response to congregational needs. Standing committees of the church also offer members opportunities to express their interests and apply their skills.

It is drawn from the history of the Christian Reformation in Czechoslovakia where Jan Hus asserted that all members of the congregation, and not only the priests, should be allowed to drink from the chalice at holy communion. Hus was burned at the stake for his efforts, but his followers persisted in building a church that believes in the "priesthood of all believers."
