WORSHIP SERVICES

All services take place at 10804 119 Street. The main entrance is on the south side of the building. All services begin at 10:30 a.m.

Click here for location and parking information.

September 3 — Laura McDonnell and Karen Mills
“Big Questions Under the Big Top"
Join our ringmasters on an adventure-filled exploration of balance and illusion. Walk the tightrope between boundaries and freedom. Juggle your own needs with those of the community. Be amazed by the magician Certainty — one minute he's there, the next, he's gone. Let go of the trapeze and see what happens.

September 10 — Rev. Brian J. Kiely
“Black and White”
The Taoist yin tang symbol has swirls of black and white held in tension with one another. Sometimes people who try to see both sides of, say, military intervention, are called moral relativists and are accused of 'standing for nothing'. Is reality grey? Or is it, in fact a black and white demanding that we dance back and forth?

September 17— Catherine Yuill
“Compassionate Care”
Catherine is Executive Director of Pilgrim's Hospice. She will share the philosophy and programs of this vital organization.

September 24 — Rev. Brian J. Kiely
“What Price is Life?”
Abortion and assisted suicide debaters all focus on moral concerns. But in all the posturing, agonizing and philosophizing, there has been very little discussion of the financial cost of keeping people alive. Should economics play a part in the discussion? There will be time for discussion during the service.

It is drawn from the history of the Christian Reformation in Czechoslovakia where Jan Hus asserted that all members of the congregation, and not only the priests, should be allowed to drink from the chalice at holy communion. Hus was burned at the stake for his efforts, but his followers persisted in building a church that believes in the "priesthood of all believers."
